Jaffa Timeline
1952 – Born 16th October

1963 – First guitar lesson from Dad

1964 – Continues to teach self

1967 – First gigs with Dad’s dance band

1968 – Formed Syrinx

1969 – Formed Diversion

1970 – Formed Factory

1974 – Left Factory

1975 – Played in various jazz, reggae and rock bands

1977 – Joined prog band England

1978 – Quit England and rock music, Got into folk and world music, Did studio session work for ads and C&W bands

1982 – Joined Uncle John’s Band, a very popular Worthing/Shoreham based band, all multi-instrumentalists, playing a wide variety
of genres, including English and Irish folk, Americana, blues and jazz. Took up button accordion and played melodeon for Sompting Village Morris Dancers.

1986 – Formed Tarring Village Band, playing what a church band might play for a village hop. Instruments included cello, bassoon, euphonium, recorders and crumhorn!

1991 – Formed the MudBugs, popular Cajun and Zydeco dance band; played accordion and sang in Cajun-French.

1999 – Uncle John’s Band disbanded

2000 – Formed Pablo, which downsized to become Pablito

2003 – Moved to France. Played in bars and fĂȘtes, singing and playing guitar.

2009 – Returned to England (the country, not the band), Continued depping at barndances and functions, playing accordion and guitar.

2010 – Formed Hopdogs

2014 – Reunited with Tone and Laurie

2015 – Whole of Factory reunited. March – Covert operations in France with Factory. 16th of October – Reunion gig with Factory
at the Carlisle in Hastings

2015-2016 – Work on Factory album at Broadoak Studios

2015+ - Gigging with Factrio (the UK wing of Factory,) and the Saucy Flapdragons (a popular mid-Sussex function band) and continues to gig with the Hopdogs and the Rude Mechanicals.
